Since a lot of Belgian students are going back to college or university soon I thought it was the perfect time to show you some IKEA items for your dorm room. A lot of dorms are limited in space and don't allow you to hang stuff on the wall. But with the following items you can optimize your storage space and create a cozy, personalized dorm room.

The first item is this portable laundry basket. Whenever you go home in the weekend you can just take the basket and put it in your car. This way you don't have to put your dirty clothing in your suitcase.

The second item is this coffee table which can also be used as a bedside table. Underneath is some storage for extra cushions and blankets. You can't let your friends get cold when they sleep over after a party!

And since you probably don't get much storage space you can get this shoe organizer and hang it inside your closet. You can put a lot of stuff in the little pockets such as: scarfs, hand gloves, jewelry, toiletry, flat iron, shoes etc.

You can also get rid of your clutter and create decoration all at once! Simply put some items in these very aesthetically pleasing storage boxes and put the boxes on display to add some color to your room.

Next there's a little IKEA hack that I use. This wooden plank is used to raise your computer screen from your desk. But I use it to put my laptop on when I'm laying in bed so it doesn't get warm on my legs AND you can also use it as a little table so you can eat in bed!

Lastly I found a perfect hack for the (interior) architecture students. During the year you make some beautiful floor plans that you tuck away after you finished your assignment but why not display the rolls of paper in your workspace. You can simply use this bottle divider and put it in a square storage basket. This way the rolls of paper won't fall over. If you like a more finished look simply cut some pieces of wood, paint them white and drill them into the sides of the bottle divider.
