Since I finished my exams and have a week off it seemed to be the perfect time to declutter my room and change it up a little. So I went to IKEA to pick up some new decor items and thought it would be nice to share it with you guys!
Before I could get new decorations I had to clean out my desk and reorganize my closet because it was a mess! For the people who know me, mess means that my clothes weren't organized on color anymore and not every little thing was in its right place. I'm kind of a perfectionist ;).
A lot of stuff had to go. That's why I used the Konmari method and decided which items I wanted to keep. You can read more about this method in an upcoming blog post!
So when everything was cleaned up, it was time to go to IKEA and decorate. For my desk area I picked up two floating shelves. This way all the items that were on my desk could be placed on the shelves above my desk, creating a bigger workspace. Furthermore, I put all the small items that didn't have a home in some decorative IKEA boxes on the shelves and added some other items such as a vase, some books, a painting etc.
I also picked up a new bedside table, since the one I had before was to big. This white metal coffee table feels a lot more airy and it makes room for a basket with some blankets underneath. Lastly I added a new beige rug to add some coziness.
