TEXTILE WALLPAPER
textile wallpaper is made from natural or synthetic fibers. Natural fibers can be cotton, linen, jute, wool, etc. and are attached to an undercoat of paper or a membrane. These determine if the glue has to be added on the wallpaper or directly on the wall.
With this textile paper, you can create a warm atmosphere and texture as well as colorful patterns that are pressed on the textile. A vertical pattern makes the room look higher, while horizontal patterns make the room look wider.
The only downside is that this wallpaper attracts dust but this can be solved by treating it with a dirt- and water repellent solution.
TADELAKT
Tadelakt is a waterproof mixture based on chalk and is originally from Marokko. You can use it as wall cladding, flooring and even for bathtubs. A 5 mm coat is added on the wall with a spatula. The next day the layer will be sanded, polished and a water repellent coating is added. Little pieces of marble or granite can be added to the mixture to create a personal wall finish.
This results in a light flowing surface where small color differences appear and change depending on the incoming light. With this finish, the room gets a natural look and feels calm.
WOOD & VENEER
This wall finish is mainly used by interior architects but is also an added value in everyday homes. A wooden wall finish is environmentally friendly, durable, noise-reducing and with its insulating effect, you can reduce your energy costs.
Wood is a breathable material and is therefore also suitable for use in bathrooms (when a moisture-resistant type is used). It is available in different colors and can also be adjusted to the desired color by means of lacquer, stain, paint, etc.
When you go for wood veneer, you get a wafer-thin 0.6 - 0.8 mm sawn timber that combines the natural look of wood with the budget-friendliness of laminate. You can still clearly see the grain of the wood and the natural look that is often lost with laminate.
